| http://summerday-summerday.blogspot.com We are outta here!! Please update your links!!!!! It started out creating a new blog for my crafty trips, and somehow I just ended up moving this site too since blogspot makes it easier to manage different blogs from one control ship hehhe. | | |
| I am up to head in craft projects that I'm thinking of creating a whole new blog devoted to that. Right now I am taking a break from finishing Ryan's costume for their Halloween gig. The whole band has decided to be Team Zisou of Life Aquatic. And my school bag contains my "train knitting" project of two little bunnies using the super thin needles mother got me and just started using (and loving! daghang salamat Sunflower). Aside from that, there is a doll I designed for Amaya with only one arm attached so far and its body parts strewn all over the couch. Man, what a mess! As I look around my "workroom", I am so greatful for being able to do what I love and to have support from my family. I have been very lucky being born with such a creative (and a touch of eccentricism) gene. How can you not end up like this if your grandmother is a painter, woodworker, metalsmith and maker of everything? A mother who can pick up anything and learn it "just like that"? An abuelita who was a knitting and crochet whiz (old school style)? An aunt who is an illustrator and pastry whiz? A father who is Mr. DIY and experimenter of the unknown? A spectrum of relatives with mad skillz? Bored is a word we never use. And I know that everyone has this gene! It's the gene that makes life bearable hahhaha. From when I first got online in 1996, I have been able to learn more things that I had ever imagined. The internet has made my self-learning so much more exciting! With the internet, YOU CAN LEARN everything. Trully. The amount of Free Information is astounding, and I have made sure to utilize all that is at my fingertips. And I know when I go home to Bukidnon, there will be no Internet (yet) so I will have the chance to get down and make everything I have learned "come together". Ahhhh how beautiful is life. When you are creative, you can do so much with so little . I never fear not having money, or loosing everything...because I have my imagination. Priceless. (and if i get alzheimers? hahahahhaha) A new blog perhaps. | | |
| Whatta weekend . With no sleep from making my homework and going to a class that lasts from 8:30 am - 2:30 pm, I went straight to darling Marie's birthday bash (wouldn't miss it for the world, no matter what). The party started early and was fun, fun, fun with yummy food . Amazingly enough, I lasted till about 12 midnight, taking photos, having fun and not collapsing. Yep, when it's great company, your body can last.
This was soooooo good (scallops wrapped in bacon and tossed on the grill!). Excuse my hands which are a miniature version of my fathers' that I tried to make more feminine by putting some nail polish on.
Early party-goers who have no clue it will soon become this:
yeah! go party people! mark, vince, me and gary weighing out the left side. Mga buang nga Bisaya! Show some love:
Melissa and co.
Pretty Danni and GaryBoyPapel
Sweethearts-4-ever Christine and Pablo
Brotherly love with Marie's Uncle and Fajah
Lovely Katya and Ollie
Gary, Ollie, Gabe, Champ and Vince ham it up like there's no tomorrow
The Bisaya gangs in the flural form: Me, Vince, Danni, Mark and Champ
And Gerard wants the papparazi to stop!!!!! So, on that note, Goodnight world. Peace. Love. Dream. Goodnight.
A parting shot of the birthday girls' shoes that I happened to see on the side of the door on my way out. A sure sign of a successful party for a lovely girl.

Please support Bukidnon's OONA Baretto by clicking on the image above or clicking here and put in a good word for her in the chatrooms/forums so that she can nurture her singing career . Oona was expelled on the 4th expulsion round of Pinoy Dream Academy but if there is a demand for her, then her future will look brighter. Help make her dream come true!!!! We support dreams over here, don't we? Thanks to Teresa for leaving the comment in the previous post. As soon as I read it, I wondered what more I could do to help...Hmmmm...If I were there, I would definitely call Oona and ask her if I could do a photoshoot of her. But since that was just not possible, I had to do the next best thing...create a digital painting from whatever reference photos I could find online , and sorry Oona, that you are now the proud owner of my lack of talent in painting hands . So for everyone who wants to help Oona out, feel free to copy this painting and repost in your myspace, friendster, multiply, blogspot and wherever else you lurk. Print it out, stick it along Edsa, make it your computer wallpaper, whatever! Just support Oona. As a little side note, when Oona was voted for expulsion, my mom and I were really trying to vote for her to stay but we got so confused on how to do it, so hopefully this time around we can help. Go Bukidnon!!!!!!! Cagayan de Oro's Chai Fonacier is also quite a wonder and is still in the academy, and I am rooting for her too . I love love this show! Except for the drama part of the students, the whole show is great, and it's great to see the improvement every week of everyone. Proving once again that everything can be learned. Well, that and I love the song "Kada Uli Hilot"!!! Hehhehe. Peace.Love.Dream.Goodnight.
| Did Roselle Nava get her face done? Hahahaha I was so bothered after seeing her on Wowowee just now, that I actually wanted to write it down! Yes, this I want to remember. Aside from my love for Andrew E, Blackdyak and Aegis, I am obsessed with The Buzz (prior to that I was hooked on Christy Per Minute), anything Kris Aquino, Pinoy Dream Academy and the ever essential part of my day: Wowowee. Yes. I am cool like that . Graduation is looming so near, I can hear it. Yep, hear it. What to do oh what to do! Been researching some companies online, and so far I have two that I will for sure send my resume to. One is a cosmetics manufacturing company based in Quezon City, and that seems like a cool possibility (plus maybe I can take some classes in Fine Arts to finish what I left . The other company that I am seriously considering is Splash (THE Cosmetics giant in the Philippines and is 100% Filipino owned). After going to their site I was so inspired to apply, and I take that as a good sign. Their company philosophies, target market (C and D market), national pride, and focus on innovation is totally in-line with my idealistic dreams of a perfect Filipino company. Not to mention, their humble begginings (it started as a backyard business of a husband and wife with P12,000 of their wedding money) and current rank in the market is really admirable. The only part that makes me apprehensive in all of this job search thing is that I really want to be base in Cagayan and Bukidnon already. But nothing is set in stone, and after all, I am just going where the wind takes me. There is a time for everything after all. Ah basta, like Boboi says, bahala na si batman. Basta, this is all a stepping stone to something. I still dream. First, create and launch 'Nao Style and Beauty Magazine, then......be the editor-in-chief of........Vogue Philippines . Dreaming is free. But it doesn't hurt to "put some coins in the piggy bank" slowly. . There is an advantage to not being "in the scene", there is an advantage to not being famous, there is an advantage to having grown-up in the mountains with no social scene, there is an advantage to not running around the circulo de sociedad, there is an advantage to being partially reclusive, there is advantage to being idealistic, and best of all....there is great advantage in Patience.
A Hunter's daughter I am. I am. Wait. Wait. Wait in silence. Keep yourself busy, but be quiet. Shhhhhhhh. I only have One bullet......and a collection of knives, slingshots, spears, stones and spices just in case Goodnight, world. Thank you, God.
